Lichtenburger Lagerlied
One of the earliest official concentration camp songs, the 'Lichtenburger Lagerlied' (Lichtenburg camp song) was written in late 1933 by an unknown teacher, based on a melody of unknown provenance. The Polish political prisoner Aleksander Kulisiewicz, who survived Sachsenhausen and devoted his postwar life to the task of publicizing music from the Nazi camps, frequently included it in his performances.
