Yeder geshikhte hot ire ende
The Yiddish song 'Yeder geshikhte hot ire ende' (Every story has its end) was written in the concentration camp Buchenwald, based on the melody of the popular song 'Arum dem fayer' (Around the fire). While it acknowledges continued Jewish suffering in the camps, it affirms that even this must come to an end sometime. This recording was collected by the Latvian-American psychologist David Boder in September 1946 from Jewish Displaced Persons (DPs) in Italy.
